WHITE WINE
White Tradition 2013, AOC Ventoux
Parker (Wine Advocate) : 90 points
An unusual and exciting white wine. Fresh, clean and aromatic.
Must pressed and fermented at low temperature.
Wine matured in stainless steel for seven months with 30% of Grenache Blanc fermented and aged in new French oak barrels
A brilliant lemon yellow hue. On the nose it has clean citrus notes and with a hint of tropical fruit and fresh vanilla. Hints of a savoury yeastiness. Flavours of ripe stone fruits (peaches, nectarines) with clean minerality and fresh acidity. A long finish which leaves the palate clean and refreshed.
Benefits from being given air. Perfect to accompany white meat, fish and shellfish, lightly spiced dishes and strong cheeses.
Tasting Notes by Jeb Dunnuck, eRobertParker.com
“In the same mould as the Séléné Blanc, the 2013 Ventoux Tradition Blanc (a barrel fermented blend of 50% Clairette, 45% Grenache Blanc and 5% Ugni Blanc) has fabulous purity to go with notes of vanilla bean, white peach, white flowers and brioche. Balanced, classy and with building richness, it’s an outstanding white to drink over the coming year or two."
