Roussanne, Grenache blanc and Clairette excel on the limestone rich soils of the Domaine and we were able to capture the sunshine of the summer of 2019 in this rich and refreshing wine.
Our organic viticulture seeks to be in harmony with the land, with organic fertilisation and the minimum use of spraying. The vines were not irrigated.
Altitude between 120-140m. Well-drained clay-limestone soil. The predominance of the Mistral (North wind), provides good aeration and natural protection against disease.
Old vines (50% between 30 and 50 years old) and younger Roussanne vines.
Viticulture & Vinification
Our organic viticulture seeks to be in harmony with the earth, with organic fertilisation and minimal use of sprays. The vines have trellising and are pruned using cordon de Royat. They were not irrigated.
The grapes are hand-picked and fermented with natural yeasts at low temperatures to extract the natural flavours of the grapes. 12% of this wine is aged in French oak barrels.
A wine of finesse and power, giving a harmonious expression of our sense of the Ventoux terroir.
An aromatic intensity leading to notes of white flowers and exotic fruits. The palate presents a beautiful freshness and minerality. The Roussanne gives it roundness and richness whose acidity perfectly balances a light hint of sweetness. Notes of honey and macadamia nuts. The use of barrel aging of some of the wine has given it length and a noble structure.
Ideal as an aperitif, with Serrano ham or to accompany creamy cheeses and white meats in sauce. A perfect accompaniment to Japanese food such as sushi and to other delictely spiced Asian food.
50% Roussanne, 45% Grenache Blanc, and 5% Clairette.
