Terroir

The vines were cultivated organically in a clay-limestone soil at 130m altitude at the foot of the Mont Ventoux.  It was fermented naturally (no addition of yeast) and only a small addition of sulphur and was filtered lightly before bottling. 

 

 

Viticulture & Vinification

Two plots, one on the plain that gets the sun and one on the hillside for freshness. Fermented in French oak demi-muids, then aged in the same barrels for six months.

A unique interpretation of the Roussanne grape in its singularity and richness.

 

Organoleptic description 

Clear, golden yellow colour.

On the nose beeswax, stone fruit such as vineyard peach. Lilac.

Fresh and round with good persistence.

 

Serving suggestions

This sun-drenched wine is perfect as an aperitif, with white meats and all kinds of cheeses. It will leave your mouth fresh, stimulated and exhilarated. A gastronomic style demonstrating style, colour, texture and energy which will continue to develop over the next 6 years as Roussanne produces wines which can age magnificently.
